Police are trying to trace the owners of property recovered which they believe may have been stolen.

On Tuesday July 7, 2009, local officers executed a warrant a house in the Swadlincote area.

Officers recovered several items from the property which police may have been stolen and would like to reunite these with their owners. These items include a quantity of tools, bicycles, petrol strimmers and lawn mowers.

It believed they have been stolen during recent shed and garage burglaries in the Ashby and Measham areas.

A 32-year-old woman and 28-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

PC Mark Arjoo from Ashby police station is appealing for anyone who may have recently had similar items stolen to get in touch. He said: "We are very keen to trace the rightful owners of this property and I'd ask anyone who may have been a recent victim of a burglary and had similar items stolen to contact me."

PC 1667 Mark Arjoo can be contacted by ringing Leicestershire Constabulary on Leicester (0116) 222 2222 and, by following the prompts, keying in his identification number, 1667. Alternatively, information can be left free* and anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
