Officers are appealing for witnesses after theft of copper cabling.

The incident took place over the weekend of Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, 2009 when contractors buried copper cabling on the A607 near to Frisby on the Wreake.

Around 300 metres of cabling which is worth approximately £1,000 in value was dug up and stolen before the work was finished.  

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity near to the site over the weekend in particular any vehicles loading cabling onto it.

They would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered copper at a reduced price or in unusual circumstances.
