Burglary at property in Woodhouse
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary at Beaumanor Hall in Woodhouse, Leicestershire.
The incident happened between 6.20pm and 7.20pm on Sunday July 5, in a part of the building made for climbing.
It is believed that two youths forced entry through a door to the building and took two recovery bags.
The recovery bags contained rope cutters and are used to cut people down from climbing ropes. They are described as duffle type bags, one in yellow and one in brown.
It is thought that they then left the property through the same door they entered.
The youths are described as being around 13-years-old and were both wearing dark clothing.
PC Richard Spivey, the officer investigating the incident, said: “At this time on a Sunday it would be unusual for anyone to be in this building, so if was in the area they may remember seeing the youths.
“If you can remember seeing them or know of two youths who have acquired bag similar to those described, we want to hear from you. No matter how insignificant the information may seem to you, it could form a vital part of our investigation.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1384 Richard Spivey on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer and when prompted key in his identification number 1384. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers free* and anonymously on 0800 555 111.
