Officers are appealing for witnesses after a theft where a motorcycle was stolen.  

The theft happened between 11.30am on Sunday July 19 and 9.30am on Monday July 20, 2009 when a motorcross bike was stolen from a back garden on Mount Road in Hinckley.

The bike, which was secured with a lock and chain, is a black and orange KTM 450 motorcross bike and is worth around £2,500.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

PC Shauna Ashton, from Hinckley local policing unit, said: "We would appeal to anyone who was in this area between these times and can recall any suspicious activity to please get in contact with us.

"Do you know someone who has recently acquired a similar bike or have you been approached by someone selling a KTM 450 bike matching this description? If you know the current whereabouts of this bike or have any information about the theft, we'd urge you to get in touch."
