Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a bike from New Parks.
The incident happened at around 12.15pm on Thursday July 16, when the 15-year-old victim’s bike was stolen from outside a shop in Aikman Avenue.
The bike is described as a Specialised B2 men’s mountain bike. It's black in colour with bright green wheels and brake cables.
Police have arrested a 14-year-old youth in connection with the incident, who has been released on police bail.
PC Michaela Jephcott, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim has been left upset and is very keen to get the unique bike back and we are appealing to the public for their help in locating the bike and returning it to its owner.
“Although the incident happened two weeks ago the stolen bike is quite distinctive and we are hoping that the picture will help to people to remember where they saw it and any details they have about the incident.
“We also want people to make themselves aware of the bike and call us immediately should they be approached by anyone trying to sell them it.
“If you remember anything about the theft or know the whereabouts of the bike now, we want you to call us."
