Witness appeal following burglary in Narborough
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary in Narborough.
The incident happened at around 8pm on Monday July 27, when a resident, at a block of flats on Leicester Road, heard a noise outside in the hallway.
When opening her door to the communal corridor to see what the noise was she found that graffiti had been written on the walls and windows and plant pots had been shattered. Written on the walls were the tags “Many” and “Goigo”.
Upon further investigation it was found that the suspects had broken in through a window in the corridor. Damage had also been made to a communal toilet in the property.
PC Ady Lloyd, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The resident who found the damage was quite distressed and we are hoping that anyone who has knowledge of the incident will call us.
“The tags written on the wall could be very significant in helping us find those responsible. Do the words mean anything to you? Have seen them before? Do you know who they belong to? If so then get in touch.
“If you were in the Leicester Road area of Narborough last Monday evening and can remember seeing someone acting suspiciously in the area then give us a call.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1194 Ady Lloyd on 0116 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officers identification number 1194. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
