Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a house in Tomlin Road, Leicester.

The incident happened between 8.30pm and 11.45pm on Thursday July 23 when the victim returned home to find a window at the back of the house was ajar.

Once inside the house he found that his 42inch Panasonic plasma television and a Nokia 3110 had been stolen.

PC Ruth Hallam, the officer investigating the incident, said: “Obviously the victim is keen to have his property returned to him and we are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

“We believe that Tomlin Road was quite busy on Thursday July 23 in the evening and so we want anyone who thinks they saw something suspicious to call us.

“The television taken was quite big and if you saw someone walking down the street with one or loading it into a vehicle then this may have grabbed your attention. If you remember anything please get in touch.”
