Wanted man arrested in city
A man has been arrested following a police appeal for information on his whereabouts earlier this week.
Police received a call yesterday (Thursday August 6) at around 6.50pm from a member of the public who recognised him from an article they had seen in the Leicester Mercury.
The suspect had been convicted of affray in March 2008 and was given an 18 month suspended sentence.
After breaching his license conditions in May 2008 a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The man, (47), was arrested at a pub on Market Street at around 7.20pm and is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court this morning.
