Fatal road traffic collision in Castle Donnington
Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Castle Donnington.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, August 8 on Station Road at the roundabout with Broad Rushes and involved one vehicle, a green Vauxhall Astra.
The 27-year-old driver of the vehicle, Mr Stephen Henshall, received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
PC Alan Moore, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The vehicle was travelling in the direction of Castle Donnington and came to rest at the side of the road in a ditch. We are appealing for anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the incident to call us.
“We also want anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.”
