Robbery in Leicester
Police are appealing for witnesses after a bike was stolen in Stoughton Road, Leicester.
The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Monday July 27, when a 14-year-old boy was approached by two youths.
The youths followed the victim up the road and pushed him off the bike. As he fell to the floor one of the youths picked up the bike and rode off in the direction of Highway Road.
The victim did not receive any injuries.
One of the youths is described as Asian, around 15-years old, about 5’2” tall and of a skinny build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms and a black “Yankee” style baseball cap. He was also riding a mountain bike.
The second youth is described as Asian, around 10-years-old, about 4’8” tall and was again of a skinny build. He had very short black hair and was wearing a green and brown striped hooded top, dark coloured jeans and trainers. This was the same youth that took the victim’s bike.
The stolen cycle is a black Stealth bike and has gold and black stickers on the frame.
PC Aimee Farmer, the officer investigating the incident, said: “We are appealing to people who live in the area and who may have seen the incident.
“We understand that the robbery happened around two weeks ago now but it may be that you have seen the bike since then. If you recognise the bike described and know its current whereabouts then we want you to call.
“Any information you have about the incident or the bike could help us with our investigation so please get in touch.”
Anybody with any information is asked to contact PC Aimee Farmer on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 2856.
