Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary in Anstey.

The incident happened overnight between 6.30pm on Wednesday August 12 and 7am on Thursday August 13, at a premises in The Nook.

The owner of the premises found the security shutters had been ripped from the front window and a hole made where someone had entered.

The victim discovered a number of items had been taken from the premises, including various perfumes.

PC Richard Spivey, the officer investigating the incident, said: “We are hoping that someone who was in The Nook area between Wednesday night and Thursday morning will contact us with any information they have.

“It is likely that those who stole the perfumes will try to sell them, so if you know anyone who has acquired various perfumes in suspicious circumstances then please call us.”
