Robbery in Loughborough
Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of robbery in Loughborough.
The incident happened at around 11.10pm on Friday August 14, the 15-year-old victim was approached from behind by a man as he walked out of Burleigh Woods towards Afton Close.
The man grabbed the victim by his arms and told him to hand over his mobile phone and money.
The victim kicked the man in his leg and the man let go of him. The victim then ran off.
A short while later the victim saw the suspect again on Burleigh fields, walking toward Schofield Road.
The suspect is described as white, between 6’3” and 6’5” tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, dark jeans and white trainers.
PC Felicity James, the officer investigating the incident, said: “We are appealing to the public for their help in finding the man responsible.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the Burleigh Fields area last Friday evening to think back. Did you see the incident? Did you see a man matching the description hanging around the area?
“If you have any information about the person responsible then we would like you to call us.”
