Man charged with possesion of a firearm

Man charged with possesion of a firearm
A 31-year-old man has appeared in court this morning charged with possession of a firearm.
He has been remanded to appear in court on August 25.
The charge relates to an incident where police stopped a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday morning (August 16) and recovered rounds of ammunition.
The following day investigations by officers, from the city’s Serious Crime Team, led them to a property on Loughborough Road, where a firearm was found.
A 27-year-old man has also been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
