Police are appealing for witnesses following a car stolen on Mountcastle Road.

The victim returned home at around 3pm on Sunday August 9, 2009 at his house and locked the car parked on the street. He noticed at around 2am on Monday August 10, 2009 that the car had been stolen.

The victim believes he may have dropped the car keys outside his property which have been used to steal the car.

The car is a dark grey Audi A3 registration number FN05 UKE.

PC Gemma Golding, who is investigating this incident, said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have seen some suspicious activity in the area that could be linked to this incident to get in touch.

"If you have any information about the current whereabouts of the stolen car then I would urge you to make contact."
