Burglary at bike store in South Wigston
Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in South Wigston.
The incident happened at the Cycle Centre, in Blaby Road, between 1.45am and 2.45am on Friday, August 14.
Entry was gained to the store and three bicycles were taken.
Two suspects made off on the bikes towards Tescos. A third suspect headed towards Blaby Road park.
The first suspect is described as white, around 5’7” tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top and black trousers.
The second suspect is described as white, 5’7” tall, of medium build and bald. He was wearing a light t-shirt and blue trousers or jeans.
The third suspect is described as white, 5’7” tall, around 20-years-old and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top and black trousers.
The bikes are a brown Lapierre Spicy men’s mountain bike, a white Lapierre Zesti 514 men’s mountain bike and a grey DMR Drone BMX bike.
PC Eustace Tonge, who is appealing for information on the incident said: “We would urge anyone who knows anything about this burglary to get in touch.
“It is possible the suspects have been trying to sell on the property and we would ask anyone who works in the second hand bike industry and has been offered cycles matching this description to get in touch.
“Maybe the suspects have been trying to sell the bikes on in their local pub? If you have heard anything we would ask you to get in touch. Any information could help.”
