Police are appealing for witnesses after a mobility scooter was stolen in New Parks.

The incident happened between 10pm on Tuesday August 4 and 9am on Wednesday August 5, 2009 when the mobility scooter was left in a back garden of a property on Hodgson Close.

The victim, in his sixties, had left the scooter and his gate locked and secure.

The scooter is described as a black Free Rider and had a red bag attached to the back containing a battery charger for the scooter.

PCSO Gillian Edwards is appealing for information. She said: “The victim is heavily reliant on the scooter and uses it daily in his every day life.

“He is desperate for its return and we would appeal to anyone who has information as to its current whereabouts to please get in touch.

“If you have information regarding the theft or the people responsible, please contact us.”
