Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Husbands Bosworth.

The incident happened at around 10.10am yesterday (Sunday August 23, 2009) on the A4304 Theddingworth Road near to the junction with Honey Pot Lane and involved a black Honda motorcycle and a silver Kia Ceed.

The rider was taken to the Walsgrave hospital in Coventry with serious injuries where his condition is described as serious but stable.  

The driver and passenger in the Kia were not injured.

Detective Constable Gary Mundy, who is investigating the collision, said: “The motorcycle was travelling from Husbands Bosworth in the direction of Theddingworth and the Kia in the opposite direction prior to the incident. 

"I would appeal to anyone who was travelling along this route around the time of the collision and remembers witnessing the collision or seeing the vehicles beforehand, to contact us."
