A woman convicted of the manslaughter of her long-term partner has been given an indefinite sentence today at Leicester Crown Court.

Today the judge issued her with an indeterminate sentence for public protection (IPP)  She will have to serve 7 years before a parole board makes a decision whether she is no longer a threat to the public and therefore eligible for release.
