Stolen mobility scooter found

A scooter stolen from a garden on Hodgson Close has been recovered.

The thefthappened between 10pm on Tuesday August 4 and 9am on Wednesday August 5, 2009 when the black Free Rider mobility scooter was left in a back garden of a property on Hodgson Close.

The victim, in his sixties, had left the scooter and his gate locked and secure.

The scooter was locatedin the Bondman Close area of Leicester onSaturday August 22, 2009 and has since been returned to it owner.

PCSO Gillian Edwards, who hasappealed for information, said "We are very pleased the scooter has been found and returned to the victim but we are stillkeen to speak to anyone who may witnessed the theft and would ask anyone with anyinformation toplease contact us.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PCSO 6132 Gillian Edwards on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 6132. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
