University of Leicester
Bookings have just opened for a new programme of Creative Learning at The Richard Attenborough Centre, University of Leicester, offering courses and workshops in Jazz, Classical Guitar, Latin Dance, Poetry, Literature and Jewellery Making.
Other highlights include the return, by popular demand, of an evening life-drawing course run by Diane E Hall, and visual art classes covering a whole range of themes, from trying out different media while developing your artistic ideas and skills, to water colour and still life.
Those looking to develop their appreciation of art have three different sessions to choose from, ranging from understanding more about portrait and landscape painters to exploring how artists have treated the human figure in sculpture.
Music lovers can join in a group that sings for fun, learn about the love lives of the great composers or take part in sessions for jazz or guitar, while literature buffs can open their minds to a variety of poetry on topics from war to Christmas, with John Florance, or learn more about some of the world
