Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of an assault in Barrow upon Soar.

The incident happened at around 6.45pm on Monday August 24, when the 16-year-old victim was approached by three boys walking through Church Lane, the alley between North Street and Church Street.

One of the boys pushed the victim into another of the boys. The second boy then pushed her again, causing her to fall to the floor.

The victim received bruising cuts to her face as a result of the assault. She did not attend hospital.

The boys were walking from Church Street.

They are described as white and are aged between 16 and 18-years-old.

PC Richard Spivey, the officer investigating the incident, said: The victim has been left scared and afraid to go outside because of the assault. We are hoping that by releasing these details a witness will come forward and help us with our investigation.

If you were in the Church Lane area on Monday and can remember seeing a group of three boys in the area or witnessed the assault then we would like you to call us.
