Loughborough MP Praises Students for Record Results

Posted on 30/08/09
newsdesk

Loughborough MP Andy Reed added his praise to local students who have achieved such fantastic exam results in local schools.

"Year on year students are working harder to achieve better results. For any parent we know children today work harder than we ever did at school and with a far more challenging curriculum. So I get sick and tired of people moaning about reducing standards for A levels and GCSEs. Why can't we just celebrate success when it happens! The first Times Education Comment about falling standards was in in 1952! Perhaps every generation has the previous one moaning it must be easier!"
