Police have charged three men in connection with an assault on St Peters Road, Leicester.

The incident happened on Thursday August 27, 2009 when officers were called at 10.32pm following reports that a man had received stab wounds.

Four local men were arrested on Friday night (August 28). Three of the men aged 20, 21 and 22 have now been charged with grievous bodily harm. They are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court on Tuesday September 1. The fourth man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The 22-year-old injured man remains in hospital where his condition is said to be comfortable.
