Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Bottesford.

The collision happened at around 11.35pm on Friday, August 28 on the A52 at the junction with Belvoir Road and involved a blue Citroen Picasso and a green Yamaha motorbike.

The 30-year-old driver of the bike, Bjarne Dines from New Basford, Nottingham, received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Citroen Picasso received minor injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment.

Detective Constable Nick Bryan, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The motorbike was travelling along the A52 in the direction of Nottingham and the car was travelling along Belvoir Road, toward Bottesford.

“We would like anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the incident or who saw the collision to contact us and help us with our investigation.”
