Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog in Loughborough. 

The incident happened at about 6.40pm on Wednesday August 19, 2009 when a 36-year-old woman jogging along the path between Nanpantan Road and the Outwoods in Loughborough ran passed a woman walking two dogs.

Nether dog was on a lead and one of them jumped up and bit the victim on the hip.

The dogs are described as pedigree Weimaraners and dark grey in colour.

The woman walking the dogs is described as white, in her early to mid 50’s, about 5’ 6” tall and with shoulder length hair.

DC Loyala Overlunde, who is investigating the incident, said: "We are eager to speak to anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident, the events leading up to it, or perhaps saw the dogs following the incident.

“Do you know who the owner might be from the descriptions provided? If so, then please contact me.”
