Police are appealing for witnesses after a theft from a vehicle parked in a car park outside a store on Braunstone Gate.  

The incident happened sometime between 9.15pm and 10.10pm on Sunday August 23, 2009 when thieves broke into a silver BMW 316i.

A mobile phone and headrests from the car were stolen.

The car’s handbrake had been released and the vehicle had been moved to another part of the car park.

The rear passenger door, the driver’s side wing mirror and the front windscreen were also damaged.

PC Gemma Golding, who is investigating the incident, said: “I would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the Braunstone Gate area between the above times. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.

“Did you see anybody moving a silver BMW across the car park? If so, then please contact me.”
