Leicestershire Adult Learning Service offers a range of courses for young people and adults with learning disabilities who are over the age of 19.

These courses take place in a variety of settings across the county, in both the daytime and the evening, and are for preparation for life and work.

Courses support individuals towards independent living, volunteering and community opportunities and include caf projects, sensory groups, communication, and employment skills.

In December 2008 Ofsted said of these courses:

Achievement and standards are very good

Teaching and learning standards are very good

Support for learners is highly effective

If you have a learning disability, or care for someone with a learning disability, you can call up to request a brochure giving information about these opportunities, or have an informal chat.
