The deadline of October 31st is fast approaching for any budding photographers who want to win prizes in the Wildscapes photography competition.
Leicestershire County Council’s Historic and Natural Environment Team is running the competition and inviting entries on the themes of wildlife and landscapes in Leicestershire and Rutland.
There are 4 age categories with prizes for the 1st and 2nd winners of each category. Under 11s, 11-14 years and 15-19s can win £50 and £25 HMV vouchers while those aged 20 and over can win £50 and £25 of Jessop’s vouchers. Entries are particularly wanted from those under the age of 11.
Photographs can be sent by email, post or dropped off at local libraries in Leicestershire. Images could be a regular visitor to your garden or local park or, a picture of your favourite scene at dawn or dusk.
Closing date for entries is 31st October 2009.
