Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with an incident in Birstall.

The incident happened on Wednesday September 16, shortly after 12 noon in Sibson Road, when a man was assaulted with an iron bar prior to a road traffic collision.

A 22-year-old man attended Loughborough local policing unit yesterday to speak with officers and was subsequently arrested.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
