Construction Crazy!

Melton Carnegie Museum is celebrating the completion of the building phase of it’s exciting new development with great half term activities for children.

The theme for the workshop is building and children are invited to come and have a go at various construction related activities. There will also be an opportunity to make some decorations for the museum’s Christmas Tree Festival entry.

The event, which is free of charge, will take place on Thursday 22nd October at Melton Library. The drop-in sessions will run at 10am – 12noon and 2pm – 4pm.

The development at the museum, which has added an extra floor and doubled the size of the gallery, is on target for completion in spring 2010 with a partial re-opening of the existing displays in December.

For further information please telephone the museum on 01664 569946 or email meltonmuseum@leics.gov.uk.
