Police searching for missing man have found a body

Police searching for a 77 year old man from Loughborough, who has been missing since yesterday evening, have found the body of a man.

Ernest Sanham from Park Road in Loughborough, was admitted to the Leicester General Hospital on Thursday 22nd October 2009 suffering from confusion.  He went missing at around 6.30pm on Friday 23rd October 2009.  Hospital staff and specially trained police officers carried out an extensive search of the large hospital grounds using search dogs and the police helicopter.  The body of a man was found at 2pm on Saturday 24th October in the grounds of the hospital.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
