Arts & Mental Health Networking

Creative Leicestershire is running an event on Tuesday 3 November looking at how artists and performers can work with mental health service users. The Arts & Mental Health network will be held at the Peepul Centre, Orchardson Avenue, Leicester from 4pm to 6pm.

Clare Hudson, Creative Industries Manager, said 'This event will give an overview of how artists are working with people with mental health issues. This will include introduction to the Inclusion Development and REMIT programmes as well as projects run by Mantle Arts and the Arts in Mental Health co-ordinators. We'll also have an artist talking about first steps on working in mental health settings. It will be a great introduction for any community artists thinking of working in this area and an inspiration for any mental health service staff interested in using the arts.'

If you are a visual or performing artist or writer and would like to book for this free event please email clare.hudson@leics.gov.uk
