Flytipper fined for dumping rotten fruit and veg

A man has been ordered to pay out hundreds of pounds after dumping rotten fruit and veg in a village street.

Mahomed Muhammed (22) of Wainwright Avenue, Hamilton, admitted to the offence, which took place on July 14 in The Ridgemere, Queniborough.

Loughborough magistrates heard on Monday, November 2 how he dumped a large amount of cardboard boxes, some containing de-composting vegetables such as carrots, chillies, peppers and strawberries, in the area. Three large bin bags and a number of carrier size shopping bags containing rubbish, as well as a white plastic washing basket, were also left.
