Appeal following robbery in Loughborough
Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery on an 18-year-old man in Shelthorpe Road, Loughborough.
The incident happened at about 12.30pm on Tuesday November 24, when the victim was approached by two men as he walked along Shelthorpe Road in the direction of Leicester Road.
One of the men grabbed the victim whilst the other punched him.
He received minor injuries.
A black Blackberry Curve 8900 Mobile Phone and a small quantity of cash was stolen.
The first man is described as aged between 17 and 19-years-old, about 5’ 7” tall, with short brown hair and tanned skin. He was wearing a grey tracksuit.
The second man is described as of similar age, height and skin colour. He was wearing grey clothes and a flat peak hat. He was also riding a mountain bike.
PC Julia Newton, who is investigating the incident, said: “This happened in the middle of the day on a fairly busy road. I would urge anybody in the area at the time to think back.
“Did you witness this incident? Did you see two men matching this description? If so, please contact me.
“If you know who may be responsible, have been offered a phone matching this description or have any information that could help us with our investigation then please get in touch.”
