Charnwood Labour Party Condemns Tory 'Lack of Care' Plan

Eric Goodyer, Labour's Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Charnwood has condemned Stephen Dorrell's opposition to Labour's proposal to provide more support for elderly people to live at home.

The Government have just introduced the The Personal Care at Home Bill which will help 400,000 vulnerable people stay in their homes instead of being moved into residential care. With an ageing population providing the resources and technology to help people to choose to continue living independently in their own homes is a key Government objective.

Eric Goodyer is closely involved with developing the technology that is helping to achieve this, participating in a number of product development programmes to design new Home & Mobile Assistive Technology devices.
