Police are appealing for witnesses after a brick was thrown at a moving vehicle in Mountsorrel.

The incident happened at about 6.20pm yesterday evening (Wednesday February 3), when the 36-year-old victim was driving through Butter Market, Loughborough Road when something hit the rear near-side window of her blue Peugeot 206, causing it to smash.

The victim stopped her car and found that a brick had been thrown at the window.

PC Paul Bird, the officer investigating the incident, said: “Thankfully the victim and her four-year-old son, who was in the car at the time, were uninjured but the consequences could have been far worse.

“If you know who the suspect is then please call us. You may have witnessed the incident or perhaps you have been told who it is. If so then please call us and help us with our investigation.”
