A1 collision - man charged

A1 collision - man charged
Officers investigating a road traffic collision which left a workman dead have now charged a man.
The collision happened at around 1.48am on Friday February 12 on the A1 northbound at Tickencote, just north of Stamford when a van and a workman were in collision. The victim has been named as 46-year-old Ernest Mathers from Doncaster.
A 27-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident was charged tonight (Sunday February 14) with causing death by aggravated vehicle taking. He is due to appear at Loughborough Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday February 15, 2010).
