Officers from Loughborough local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Loughborough.

The incident took place sometime between 3.10pm and 3.50pm yesterday (Tuesday March 9) in the Prestbury Road area of Loughborough when the property was entered and a number of items were stolen.

Amongst the items stolen was a Sony Playstation 3, an Acer Aspire laptop computer, a satellite navigation system, Playstation 3 games, an Advantica navy blue laptop bag, a Nintendo DS console, an IPod Nano MPS3 player and a Motorola Walkman mobile telephone.

DC Kim Potter is investigating the incident, he said: “We believe some youths were seen running away from the area towards some school playing fields around the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who knows anything about the stolen property or knows someone who has recently acquired such items to contact us.”
