With less than a week to go until The Sport Relief Weekend the final countdown is well and truly on. Entries for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles in Loughborough are sold out, with 500 participants booked to take part.
The races start from Loughborough University at 10.00am on Sunday 21st March and are part of the Sport Relief Weekend, which has been organised by Charnwood Borough Council’s Active Together Team in partnership with the University, from Friday, 19th to Sunday, 21st March.
The weekend will involve three whole days of energy, entertainment and events to help the nation rise to the challenge!
Hundreds of thousands of people across the country will rise to the challenge at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile - and have a great time too – whether they do one, three or six miles.
Celebrities have already risen to challenges with David Walliams and a group of celebrity friends cycling the length of the UK from John O'Groats to Lands End and Lawrence Dallaglio touring the Six Nations on his bike.
There is still time for you to get involved, for more information on Sport Relief 2010 visit www.sportrelief.com
