Officers are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Loughborough.

The incident took place at around 1.30am on Wednesday January 18 on Ashby Square, Loughborough.

A 26-year-old man who had been walking along Ashby Square sustained a broken jaw and swelling to his face.

PC Andy Dixon, the investigating officer, said: “We are trying to establish how this man sustained these injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have seen anything suspicious to contact us.”
