4 Minute Six Pack Abs Workout For Firm Abs

4 Minute Six Pack Abs Workout For Firm AbsBy Ed Scow
Abs, abs, abs. Everybody wants a nice set of six pack abs. Or if you're not after the six-pack abs, you at least want a nice firm and toned stomach.
Something that looks good with your shirt off or in a bikini.
But how do you get it?
Do you need to follow some weird diet? Do you need to take a magic fat or adipose tissue burning supplement? Do you need to buy the latest abs gadget off a television infomercial?
No, no, no. You don't need to follow a weird diet, you don't need to buy a fat or adipose tissue burning supplement (that doesn't work anyway) and you especially don't need to buy the latest abs gadget off an infomercial.
Nutritionally speaking, you just need to make some minor tweaks and changes in order to get your body to start burning more of your stubborn stomach fat.
Start by eating more fiber. Stick with lots of fruits and vegetables and keep the grains to a minimum.
You also need to make sure you get enough protein and fat. Yes I said fat. Your body needs a certain amount of fat or adipose tissue in order to function properly and there have been studies that show that people who consume more foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and other cold H2O fish, and nuts, like almonds, lose more stomach fat or adipose tissue than those who didn't.
So stock up on your Omega-3 rich foods and get more protein.
When it comes to exercise, you don't need to live in the gym. Nor do you need to do nothing however cardio. Quite the opposite, actually. You need to stick to more resistance training and interval training if you really want to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue and get a firm, toned stomach or six-pack abs.
Your workouts should consist of lots of movements that work your entire body, and shouldn't be split into "parts". Meaning stick with exercises like push-ups, squats, lunges, planks, mountain climbers, dumbbell swings, etc. and stay away from movements that don't work much muscle and don't burn too many calories like bicep curls and triceps kickbacks or those silly leg machines that move like the old "Thigh Master" home workout gadgets.
Your workouts should also take less than 30 minutes. By sticking to that timeframe, you'll ensure you keep the intensity level up, meaning you'll burn a lot of fat or adipose tissue in as short a period as possible.
When it comes to abs specific workouts, you don't need to spend lots and lots of time devoted to crunches, sit-ups, leg lifts, etc.
In fact, you can get an awesome absworkout done from the comfort of your own home in as small as 4 minutes.
The next time you're working out, try this circuit after your regular workout.
1A) Mt. Climbers - 30 seconds1B) Squat Jump with Knee Tuck - 10 jumps1C) DB Swing - 10 reps
Rest 20-30 seconds after the DB Swings and perform the circuit as many times as possible in 4 minutes.
Here's a quick run-through of the exercises:
Mt. Climbers - Lie on the floor in the top push-up position so only your hands and feet are on the floor. Brace your abs and begin the exercise by flexing one knee and bringing that knee toward your chest, return to the starting position and bring the opposite knee toward your chest. Repeat in a swift tempo, alternating back and forth like you're running, (or climbing a mountain, surprise surprise) for 30 seconds.
Squat Jump with Knee Tuck - Stand up straight and tall with your feet shoulder width apart. Progress into a normal bodyweight squat and as you reach the bottom, explosively stand back up so you jump off the floor as high as you can. As you jump into the air, bring your knees toward your chest by flexing your abs. Land lightly on your toes, steady yourself and repeat.
DB Swing - Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width holding a dumbbell with both hands. Squat down while letting the dumbbell go between your legs, however not behind you. Explosively flex your glutes and stand up as you swing the dumbbell straight out in front of you until it's at chest height. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
Perform that mini-circuit a few times a week after your regular workout and I guarantee you'll notice our stomach shrinking and a nice set of abs appearing within a matter of weeks.

Lose Your Gut With This Quick Six Pack Abs WorkoutBy Ed Scow
You want some abs, right?
You want to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue and get a firm, flat stomach...maybe even with a small definition...maybe even a six-pack.
Who doesn't? I know I do. That's why I work so hard to get and maintain my physique.
It was tough, however it's not impossible. I'm sick of hearing people say they don't have the genetics to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue and get a firm, flat stomach, let alone get six-pack abs.
That's a bunch of crap! If you're reading this, you can lose stomach fat. As a matter of fact, you can lose as much stomach fat or adipose tissue as you want and even get that six-pack.
You just need to do things differently than you are right now.
First, if you're not doing anything...do something. Sounds stupid, however you'd be surprised how often I need to tell people that.
Second, you need to stop doing crunches, sit-ups, twists, leg lifts, etc. Doing hundreds and thousands of those exercises every week will not help you lose stomach fat, let alone get a flat, firm stomach and they especially won't help you get a six-pack. Not when you have a layer of flabby goo sitting on your waist line.
You need to burn the fat or adipose tissue off your stomach and to do that you need to eat right and you need to do fat or adipose tissue burning full body workouts.
Here's an example of a fat or adipose tissue loss workout I just gave to a client that was specifically designed to help him lose stomach fat or adipose tissue and get six-pack abs.
Perform this workout as a circuit and do as many circuits as you can in 15 minutes. Do this circuit before your regular workout when you're still fresh 2-3 times per week for the next 4 weeks.
1A) Dumbbell Split Squat - 10 reps per side 1B) "T" Push-up - 10 reps 1C) Overhead Squat - 10 reps 1D) Cross Body Mountain Climber - 30 seconds 1E) Push-up w/Dumbbell Row - 8 per arm
That workout will work yourentire body, and each exercise is designed to put extra emphasis on your abs. If you do it right, you will feel it in your abs and you will lose stomach fat.
As far as fat or adipose tissue loss nutrition and fat or adipose tissue loss cardio go, here's the easiest things I can tell you. When it comes to nutrition, you've got to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, no juices sorry, limit any food that comes in a bag or box and cut your dinner portions by about 25%.
For cardio, stick with interval training rather than boring steady state cardio that lasts for hours upon hours on end. Interval training is proven to burn more stomach fat or adipose tissue than steady state cardio and has helped virtually everyone I've ever trained lose stomach fat or adipose tissue fast.
Now that you are armed with that fast six-pack abs workout designed to help you lose stomach fat, plus you've got a small more advice when it comes to fat or adipose tissue loss nutrition and fat or adipose tissue loss cardio...get to it!
Do the workout and eat more fruits and veggies and you will see dramatic results in terms of stomach fat. You will have a firm, flat stomach and who knows you may even get that six-pack.

,3 Abs Workout Mistakes

3 Abs Workout MistakesBy Ed Scow
I have logged thousands of personal training sessions over my career and everybody wants to know more about abs workouts and abs exercises.
My clients want to know how to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue and get a six-pack, or at the very least they just want to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue so they have a firm abs that look good in their clothes (and naked).
I can't blame them. Who doesn't want a nice looking midsection? Who doesn't want to get firm abs or get lean enough they can say they have a six-pack.
The problem is that 99% of them all have the same misconceptions about abs workouts and abs exercises and how to really lose stomach fat or adipose tissue and get firm abs.
I've narrowed down the mistakes, myths and misconceptions surrounding abs workouts and abs exercises to my top 3.
These 3 abs workout mistakes are made by just about everyone I've ever trained, designed a program for, or consulted.
Are you making these same mistakes?
1) Spending too much time doing crunches. I'm just going to come right out and say it...you don't need to do crunches to get six pack abs and you sure as heck don't need to do crunches to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue or even get a firm abs.
Crunches simply don't work enough muscle and don't burn enough fat or adipose tissue calories to be thought of as a worthwhile exercise in order to lose stomach fat, let alone get firm abs or a six-pack.
Spending 20 minutes a day doing hundreds (or thousands) of crunches is like electing Big Bird or Elmo president.
Sure they may sound good and have all the answers, however it just doesn't make much sense electing a puppet to such a high office (sorry, that was my attempt at a joke).
Doing hundreds, or even thousands, of crunches will strengthen your abdomen, that's for sure, however what does it matter if you still have a layer of flabby goo covering up all the hard work?
Instead you need to focus on full body workouts and full body abs exercises in order to lose stomach fat or adipose tissue fast and get the firm, toned stomach or six pack abs you're after.
Take for instance this abs workout, using only full body abs exercises, I designed for a client. Do this mini-circuit before your regular workout, when you're still fresh, so you can really hit your abs hard.
