You do not have to invest in expensive equipment or join a gym to make exercise a part of your life. There are plenty of different activities that can easily be inculcated in your weight loss program, some of which may already be a part of your daily lifestyle. All you may need is an action plan.

Here are 6 exercises you should include in your weight loss program.

Walking

This stimulates the heart, lungs, muscles and mind and is easy to fit into your lifestyle. Studies show that even very gentle walking can prolong your life by keeping you mobile and burning calories.

If you are not used to exercising, aim for 10 or 15 minutes a day to start with, and build up to at least 30 minutes. Swing your arms and walk fast enough to encourage sweating; you should expect to be slightly out of breath.

Jogging

Jogging triggers the release of chemicals in the brain that elevate your mood and reduce anxiety. It also helps to prevent heart disease, high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure and a wide variety or diversity of other health problems.

Dancing

Aerobics

These exercises can be either high or low impact. Start with low impact first and progress gradually if you wish.
