Circuit Training For a Full Body Workout
Circuit Training For a Full Body WorkoutBy Kaleena A Lawless
Circuit training is an effective workout plan for those who want to lose some weight, add tone to their body and tend to skip traditional cardiovascular activity. I'm not talking about the hydraulic circuit training equipment like at Curves or a similar establishment. I'm speaking of a more "boot camp" circuit that truly challenges every single muscle in your body.
Benefits Of Circuit Training
-Can be performed with minimal equipment at home, outdoors and even on vacation.
-A fun and fast paced workout for people that don't like waiting around in between every set.
-Burns calories, sheds fat or adipose tissue and increases strength and muscle tone.
-Can be added in to any workout program, for any goal. It's an interesting change of pace.
-Helps to break plateaus for many goals.
-Can train for various skills in one workout such as cardiovascular capacity, sports conditioning and balance.
-Maximum results in minimal time.
Here is a sample circuit training workout you can do at home:
Equipment Needed: Chin Up Bar, pair of dumbbell that will challenge your back, arms and shoulders. Time: 30-45 minutesReps: 15-20 of each exercise
Push Ups
Lunges + Shoulder Press
One Arm Row
One Leg Squat (holding on to a door frame)
Pull Ups, Reverse Pull up (chin up bar 3 feet off the ground with you under it) or assisted pull ups
One Leg Romanian Deadlift
Alternating Bicep Curls
Squat + Calf raise
Dips
Hanging knee raise or Russian twists
Opposite arm and leg raise back extension on hands and knees
After each cycle break for 2-3 minutesRepeat twice
Circuit training is a fast and effective workout. It's great for people that are short on time and for enthusiasts interested in receiving the many physical and mental benefits of fitness, in one convenient workout style.

,Benefits of Circuit Training
Benefits of Circuit TrainingBy Alexander Sutton
Elliptical trainers are classified as circuit training machines. This is because the elliptical trainers are designed to give you a full body workout, as well as an aerobic workout. Any exercise regimen that includes both strength exercises and aerobic or endurance exercise is technically circuit training. People who are interested in losing weight, becoming fit, toning their bodies, and increasing their cardiovascular health turn to circuit training as the greatest way to meet their goals.
Most circuit training involves moving from station to station, in place of putting everything together in one machine. Elliptical trainers are most convenient for people who are seeking a training experience without joining a gym, a club, or creating different stations with different types of exercise machinery.
The benefits of circuit training are multiple. The biggest benefit of is the time factor. Quite frankly, it is far quicker and easier to fit your strength training and endurance training into one easy, straightforward exercise. Both strength and endurance training is important for a well-rounded, healthy exercise regimen. You can have both at the same time with an elliptical trainer.
The benefit of training with an elliptical trainer is twofold: time and convenience. Instead of traveling to a gym or club, you can stay in your own home and complete your exercise. The elliptical trainers target quads, biceps, triceps, back, chest, and more, as well as your heart and your lungs. That is how they differ from treadmills and stationary bikes, though treadmills and stationary bikes are often an integral part of circuit stations.

Fat Loss Circuit Training WorkoutBy Yuri Elkaim
Today I'd like to give you an exciting full body workout that will burn tons of calories and leave you feeling great in just 40 minutes. So if you want to burn fat, tone up, and get fit then this workout is for you.
Another great advantage of this workout is that all you need to complete it is a set of dumbbells, a stability ball, and a step. A cardio machine is advised for your interval training component.
The fat or adipose tissue burning workout I'm about to provide you with is an example of the type of fat or adipose tissue burning circuit training workouts that will truly make a difference for you.
So here's how it's going to work. We're going to take 6 exercises and set them up in a circuit training routine. For each exercise you will be completing as many repetitions as possible in a 30 second time period. After each exercise you will then rest for 30 seconds before moving on to the next one. Once you've completed the entire first set you can then grab a sip of H2O and rest for 1-2 minutes.
After your 1-2 minute rest period, you will then choose a cardio machine and perform 5 minutes of intervals. The interval training component is a superb way to spike your metabolism and burn further calories in just a few minutes. For these intervals you will be working hard for 10 seconds and recovering for 50 seconds. This will be repeated 5 times for a total of 5 minutes.
For instance, if you are on the bike you would pedal as fast as possible (at a good resistance) for 10 seconds and then follow that with a nice and easy 50 second recovery. Got it? Awesome!
Both the circuit training and interval training sequences are repeated twice.
So here's how the workout structure will look:
Warm-up
5 minutes light cardio
CIRCUIT 1 (30 sec. work, 30 sec. rest)
Standing lunges Plank Step-ups with biceps curls and shoulder press Push-ups Stability ball crunches Ball squats (against wall) with biceps curls
Rest 1-2 minutes
INTERVAL TRAINING 1 (10 sec. hard, 50 sec. recovery)
Rest 1-2 minutes
CIRCUIT 2 (30 sec. work, 30 sec. rest)
Standing lunges Plank Step-ups with biceps curls and shoulder press Push-ups Stability ball crunches Ball squats (against wall) with biceps curls
Rest 1-2 minutes
INTERVAL TRAINING 2 (10 sec. hard, 50 sec. recovery)
This entire workout should take you no more than 40 minutes.
