Everyone Can Benefit From Swimming!
Everyone Can Benefit From Swimming!By Lauren S Johnson
Whether you are a runner, a walker, or a cyclist, you should know that everyone can benefit from swimming. Swimming is one of the greatest physical activities out there, yet not too many people take part in it. Swimming provides the human body with 12 times the resistance of air, which means quicker weight loss and quicker muscle building results.
Most doctors agree that swimming is one of the greatest cardio exercises because it is easy on the joints. Most other physical activities place a lot of pressure on the joints. That is why water (H20) fitness is praised by people who suffer from injuries, arthritis, and movement limitations. People who suffer from arthritis also rave about the fact that water (H20) activities help them relive joint pain. Furthermore, many professional or expert athletes turn to swimming following an injury in order to regain their strength and improve their range of motion.
Unlike many other exercises, swimming incorporates all of the muscle groups. With one single movement you have the possibility of working your back, shoulder, arms, hips, glutes, and legs. And with twelve times the resistance, your muscles will be working 12 times as hardwith each single move. But this does not mean that swimming is much more painful than regular land fitness. The beauty behind water (H20) activities is that you do not feel the pain in your muscles as you would on land. Furthermore, swimming is fun! If I had to choose between running on a treadmill for an hour or going to the pool for an hour, I would definitely choose the latter. Many people associate swimming with youth, summer time and fun, thus creating a workout environment that is enjoyable. So the next time you go the gym, try bringing your bathing suit in place of your running shoes.

,Swimming is For Everyone
Swimming is For EveryoneBy Lyla Feldman
You may be a runner, a yogi, a walker or a sports buff, however everyone can benefit from swimming. You may have a fear of the H2O stemming from a bad childhood incident that is preventing you from swimming. Or you may not know the proper techniques involved in swimming laps in an Olympic size pool. Have no fear, with a few simple tips you will be on your way to becoming a seasoned swimmer or at least look like one.
Swimming as a cardio exercise is widely recommended by most doctors because it doesn't apply harsh pressure on the joints. It is a whole body workout for people who have injuries, musculoskeletal, arthritis, or weight limitations. Professional athletes train in H2O after injuries to regain their strength or cross train to improve their range of motion. People with disabilities or joint stiffness use swimming as a means to relieve pain. It incorporates all muscle groups - giving strength to back, shoulders, hips, glutes, and legs. Water gives 12 times the resistance as similar movements in air.
There have been many success stories associated with the positive impact swimming has on physical disabilities. People can go from getting around in wheel chairs to walking perfectly normal. Try to enlist a friend who is a good swimmerto show you the basics or get a swim coach. I am not a swimmer, never have been in my entire life until I had an injury Start by swimming for about 10-15 minutes at a time, then work up to 30 minutes a few times a week.
Don't get frustrated- learning swim styles besides the doggy paddle can seem overwhelming. You can use a kickboard to feel more comfortable or begin by running in place in the water. It is a great workout and it can be very calming, as well. You just need a bathing suit that won't fall off and some eye goggles. It took me awhile to get acclimated because I felt awkward and didn't know what I was doing. Some kind soul showed me the way and I am hooked! Just dive right in! What have you got to lose?

,Simple Tips to Flatter Abs
Simple Tips to Flatter AbsBy Lauren S Johnson
Many people out there want flatter abs. Some people even dream of six pack abs. No matter what your dream may be, it is important to be aware of some weight loss facts. For instance, just because you saw a gizmo on the TV which swears that you will get six pack abs in one month, that's not necessarily the case. It is simply a marketing gimmick. So what can you do in order to lose that unwanted belly fat?
Well the first thing that you should be aware of is that losing weight means burning calories. Until you lose that body fat, your abs will not magically become visible. Also pay close attention to genetics. If your parents are slightly overweight, you may have to work harder on achieving your goal. Also try to cut your daily calorie intake. One pound of fat or adipose tissue contains 3,500 calories. So set your goals and figure out the exact amount of calories that you need to burn each day.
A great tool to use when working on toning your abs is the swiss ball. When you are using this particular exercise wonder you basically work your muscles through a full range of motion, thereby getting quicker and better results. And when you buildyour muscles you burn more calories. It is also important to vary your routine. If your body gets used to one exercise you will most likely stop burning calories. So try different things, like swimming, biking, running, and walking. There are also a lot of exercises which you can do with the swiss ball, all of which target the abs. So switch things up every now and then. Trying new things will also help you stay motivated. Doing the same tedious routine day after day can become quite boring. So if you want to lose that unwanted belly fat, try applying some of these tips into your workout routine.
