In this article I would like to tell you some of the most effective exercises to get a six pack. If you follow my advice, you will see your abs flattening in about a month time. You don't need any special equipment for these exercises to get a six pack, all you need is some time and dedication. You think you got that? OK, here we go...
You might be surprised to hear that you should spend most of your workout time on cardio exercises. Instead of focusing so much on abdominal exercises to make yourself look ripped, you will lose so much more fat or adipose tissue by focusing the majority of your workout on high intensity, full-body activities. Basketball, running and swimming are all very good exercises to get a six pack.
Also, exercises that work your largest muscle groups-you legs, upper and lower back and your chest give you the biggest metabolic leverage in term of overall fat or adipose tissue loss. Train these muscle groups in a circuit fashion and you will lose your layers of fat or adipose tissue in no time. No joke.
Now onto the ab specific workouts. If you are mindlessly doing hundreds of crunches everyday and still not seeing results, oddss are these exercises are not challenging enough for you to work. I know, I know. Everyone wants to know what's the fastest way to get a six pack. Being a personal trainer for more than five years. The question I'm being asked the most is, "What's the fastest way to get a six pack?" Well, the "secret" is out. Listen carefully, children. If you follow my plan, you will see improvements in your abdominal area in about 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your current body shape of course.
STEP 1-- Change your diet. Diet is the number one factor in deciding whether your abs show or if they are still hiding under layers of fat or adipose tissue even though you're doing hundreds of sit-ups everyday. Try to eat 5 to 6 small meals per day. Your average meal should consist of some lean protein. Protein is an essential part to your diet that helps you to loose body fat or adipose tissue and build long, lean muscles. And it gives your power when you're doing your resistance training. Also eat plenty of "healthy fats" like olive oil and nuts. These oils keep you fuller for longer as well as helping your lose your abdominal fat. Avoid refined sugar and simple carbs, which have not much nutritional value except empty calories. Opt for whole grain everything-pasta, rice, bread.
STEP 2-- Do your cardio! Cardio workouts like swimming, running and basketball help to burn off caloriesas well as raise your overall metabolism. Many people might not know this, however raising your metabolism is what matters! That is how you lose your layer of fat or adipose tissue sitting on top of your already shaped abs muscles. Do 45 mins of cardio 2 to 3 times a week.

It is because you need to lower your body fat or adipose tissue to around or under 10 percents in order for your abdominal muscles to show. Even if you are naturally born skinny however you never work your ab, your abs will simply look, well, skinny! With no definition whatsoever.
OK so now that we got those small facts out of the way. Here's how to get a six pack abs in the fastest time:
1 - You have to eat clean, very clean. Diet is the number one factor in deciding whether your abs show. Do all the crunches if you want, however if you are eating nothing however junk all day, your abs will never show. Plan your meals ahead, and eat several small meals each day. Your average meal should consist of some lean proteins, leafy veggies and whole grain carbohydrates. Avoid refined sugar and simple carbohydrates which have not much nutritional value except empty calories.
2-- Starting doing your cardio exercise! Most bodybuilders only focus on muscle training and neglect all kinds of cardio workouts. Cardio workouts like swimming, running and basketball help to burn off calories as well as raise your overallmetabolism. If you want to start burning your layers of abdominal fats, go running now! If all you do is muscle training and no cardio, it is very possible that you are actually increasing your waist area! Opt for 45 mins of cardio 2 to 3 times a week.
